I can't remember when I started being a minimalist.
I reckon around 7-8 years ago. It was before Marie Kondo and The Minimalists blew up.
Getting rid of almost all my stuff was one of the most liberating experiences of my life, to the point where I felt addicted to the dopamine spike of getting rid of stuff.
I recall days back when I'd sit in my pretty empty room racking my brain on what I can get rid of next. While I no longer have the compulsion to throw stuff away, I still want to own lesser things.
Minimalism has given me a lightness of being.
